New London, N.H. Celebrates Winter Carnival This Week
The New London Winter Carnival is going on this week with lots of activities for the family. A chocolate bar, Undie Run, snow golf, dog sled demo, wagon rides and more with fireworks topping it all off on Saturday, January 24, 2015.
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21
3:00 - 4:30 pm Learn to Skate/Skating Games, Bob Andrews Memorial Ice Rink.
4:30 - 5:30 pm Broom Hockey Tournament, Bob Andrews Memorial Ice Rink.*
5:30 pm 3v3 Hockey Tournament, Bob Andrews Memorial Ice Rink.*
*Broom Hockey and 3on3 Hockey require advance sign up in order to participate.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 22
5:30 pm First Annual Undie Run, Freezin for a Reason, 1k family fun run,
suggested donation of $10 (more for all googley onlookers!!), all proceeds
will support the Chad Denning Fund. start/end on Main St.
FRIDAY, JANUARY 23
4:00 - 5:00 pm Magic Show, Whipple Hall (sponsored by the New London Police
Association & the Friends of Tracy Library) this show is free but limited
to 150. Tickets available in advance at Tracy Library, Town Hall or New
London Recreation Department.
4:30 - 7:00 pm Wagon Rides, Main St.
5:30 - 7:30 pm Dinner with Jack Frost, Town Green – pricing and tickets available online
at www.nl-nh.com. Complimentary leis provided by the Sunapee Region
Board of Realtors.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 24
10:00 am - Noon Frozen Open, (golf on snow) only one club allowed! All ages, Town Green.
10:00 am - 1:30 pm Market on the Green, Whipple Hall.
10:00 am - 2:00 pm Kitewing Demo, Town Green.
11:00 - 11:45 am Story Time & Cookies, with a special guest author, Morgan Hill Bookstore.
11:00 am - 3:00 pm Hot Chocolate Bar, hosted by New London Hospital, Town Green.
12:00 pm Musical Chairs on Ice, Bob Andrews Memorial Ice Rink.
12:00 - 12:30 pm Dog Sled Demo, Town Green.
12:30 - 3:00 pm Ski Joring, by the North East Ski Joring Association, Town Green.
12:30 pm Fry Pan Toss, behind the Bob Andrews Memorial Ice Rink.
1:00 pm Winter Carnival Parade, floats, bands, etc. needed, Main St.
3:30 - 5:00 pm Winter Carnival Dodgeball, hosted by the New London Outing Club, ages
14+, teams consist of at least 6 players, sign up at www.theoutingclub.net

4:00 - 5:30 pm Snowshoeing with Mark Vernon, free snowshoe rentals available at
Villiage Sports. Snowshoeing will start behind the old middle school.
6:00 pm Fireworks, viewing areas - behind the old middle school, Main St.
