Have you ever realized how walking your dog is the easiest way to meet people without even trying?

Now think about how a dog park is the perfect meeting spot if you're single (especially at this one).

I've been to many many parks, and I've found that Valley Street Dog Park in Portland, Maine, is a single person's best bet to leave with a date.

This is one of my go-to's since the entire park is fenced in, and it has some hills the pups can run up and down on (tires them out quicker, score)!

Open from 6:30 am to 10 pm, I've never had any negative issues going here.

However, I've also realized that I have never once left this park with my dog Maverick without a man or woman trying to pick me up or ask me out.

Truthfully, I don't know what it is about this specific place, but it's almost like the specific dog owners that choose to go here, more so go for themselves, not their dogs HA.

I can also say the people that come here are always very generous and very accepting, kind humans. They kind of formed a little dog community and club as they wait around for their pups to get their energy out.

Sidenote: There's a public garden right in the same parking lot you can walk through! If you live in an apartment and are looking for a place to be able to garden without a lawn, this place could be your solution.
