It may not feel or look like it outside, but Spring is here. Here is one definite sign!

Ken's Place in Scarborough is open for the season, pumping out the smells we all love. Fried clams, hot chowders simmering and the tell tale speaker calling the numbers of hungry patrons with mouths that have been watering since October.

My mouth had been hankering for a taste of Ken's Place, too. I love their crabmeat salad, salad. It's so fresh. Not just the delicious freshly picked crabmeat, but the lettuce and veggies. A lot of places can't get that right. Ken's never disappoints. They even stack a healthy scoop of potato salad and pickles and cheese too. The portions will leave you well satisfied and the staff is always incredibly nice and always helpful. IF you have room, enjoy an ice cream on your way out.

Ken's has a raw bar as well, complete with oysters on the half shell and drink specials. Nice place to meet a couple friends after a long week. I just cannot wait for the warm weather to get here so we can take that food outside and eat on their picnic tables.

Ken's always delivers delicious food and unbeatable service but they are also very good to the community, always giving back. Every October, they donate a large amount of their bottles and cans to our campaign to fight breast cancer called "Cans For A Cure."
