It’s a Drive ‘Thru’ Not Drive ‘IN’

Sometimes we get that craving for coffee and it just can't be denied. Such was the dilemma for one driver in South Portland Sunday afternoon, when they drove into the Dunkin Donuts on Rt. One.

Thankfully no one was hurt, and the damage was merely cosmetic so don't worry, if that particular DD is your go to, you'll be able to get your caffeine fix very soon. To be fair, the woman driving "accidentally" hit the accelerator so... there's that.

According to WMTW's website Officials were dispatched to 633 Main St. just after 2:30 p.m. "There's no signs that there was any kind of impairment, either drugs or alcohol," Sgt. John Sutton said. "It's simply human error where her foot hit the gas instead of the brake."

Well it sounds like this woman definitely was in need of caffeine, but we're certainly glad everyone was safe.
