This is the sight that met me when I opened my produce drawer. Hmm? Is that a bad thing? Isn't broccoli supposed to be green? I did some research and found that my broccoli wasn't actually rotting, but it is wilting! The yellow parts won't make you sick, but could give you some really bad gas-even worse than the green broccoli. It has also lost some of its vitamins, and the stalk has probably become fibrous and tough. It may also be bitter. On the positive side, it will still have the same amount of fiber as the robust, green broccoli!

What does it mean when my peppers change color? I'm on it!
