Yesterday morning Mike and I were afforded the opportunity to broadcast live from Boothbay Harbor for Windjammer Days, and the view was unbelievable.

We kicked off the event with a little hilarity when we missed our first boat out to Cabbage Island. Luckily Captain Richard from the Hay Vale saved the day and gave us a ride!

But despite the hiccups in getting there, we had an incredible time once we arrived, and the food was amazing. While I was the only one to choose Chicken, I still got to taste the yummy lobster (without having to take it apart myself) and there's no questions that the chefs at the Cabbage Island Clambake are very good at what they do.

We had an amazing time at the clambake, and then managed to race a thunderstorm back to land. We got off the boat just in time for the heavens to open, but the lightning show was stunning.

Broadcasting live from the Rocktide Inn the next morning, we chatted with Kris Folsom from The Maine Botanical Gardens, Captain Joe Tassi from Schooner Lazy Jack Cruises, Ashley from Hammond Lumber, and John Sullivan, the GM at the Rocktide Inn.

The View was stunning, and in between the breaks we all were able to soak in some sun!

We also got a visit from Steve Richards from The World is Mine Oyster. Steve was voted the Maine Lobster Chef of the year and he brought us the most incredible breakfast sandwiches we've ever had!
