This week on the HOM Morning Show, Nikki and I were joined by Peter Geiger, Editor of the Farmers' Almanac. The long running publication has become a staple in households all over New England for many years. It's full of life hacks, tips, and tricks that can be useful for just about anyone. But perhaps more than anything, the annual publication is known for their long range weather forecasts. Listen below for the full interview, in which Peter goes into detail about what to expect for weather in New England this winter.

The thing that Peter told us that surprised me most was the remarkable accuracy of their long range weather forecasts. In the interview, he said that they are right 75 to 85 percent of the time. Who else can say that they can predict the weather that far out, that accurately. Last year, they predicted five major storms...if not on the exact day, either the day before, or the day after. WOW!
