Nikki Cruz

Nikki Cruz started her entertainment career in television as a teenager, growing up on a military base in Seoul, South Korea. She first appeared as a singer and dancer on a hit TV show called "Young Parade," and hosted an evening rock show on AFN where she fell in love with radio. After high school, Nikki moved to San Antonio, Texas to attend college. She was initially unsure about a college major, but eventually decided on mass communications. Nikki lucked out with an immediate job offer to do the evening show at AC station, KSSR and eventually moved to middays on the legendary classic hits station, KONO. Next stop on the radio train was Nashville, Tennessee where Nikki got back into TV and also worked at two radio stations: a country station in the morning and a Top 40 dance station in the midday. Then, the ocean started calling her name. Nikki packed her beach bag and moved to Tampa Bay, Florida, where she did various music formats including Country, Hot AC, and Smooth Jazz. She spent the last nine years cohosting mornings on the iconic Q105. She also decided to go back to school and changed her educational path to psychology, even going one step further to obtain a master's degree in mental health counseling. Nikki loves to travel and truly missed the four seasons and mountains, so when Townsquare Media's market manager, Brian Lang called and asked her to come to New England for a job interview, she jumped on a plane. Flying over the coast reminded her of a Thomas Kinkade painting with the picturesque light houses. She knew she wanted to move here. As a newbie, Nikki needs your help learning how to dress for winter. She has a closet full of shorts and flip flops. Other than acclimating to the cold weather, Nikki looks forward to her life in New England.
