Police in Hancock County are asking for the public's help in locating a litter of puppies that were stolen from their home in the town of Hancock.

According to WCSH6, sheriff's deputies are investigating a puppy-napping. The owner, Jeffrey Long, has told police that someone broke into his home on Sunday, Nov. 26. His home is located on Washington Junction Road in Hancock, and he thinks that someone broke in between noon and 4 p.m and stole four of his six puppies.

WCSH6 also reports that the puppies are only six weeks old, and they still need their mother for a healthy start in life. They also already have families that are waiting for them.
