It's like walking through a Winslow Homer painting and it soothes the soul. It's also right in your backyard!

START HERE!!!!  This little house is the start of one of the most beautiful walks i've ever taken. It's called "The Cliff Walk" and it's located at the very end of Scarborough and Ferry Beach connecting the two points known as "Prout's Neck." The trail is VERY well marked but moderate to difficult to walk.

As you walk by the natural wonderment of these cliffs you can smell the fresh cool sea air, gaze at tidal pools all while hearing the waves crash and the gulls call in the distance. It's quintessential New England.

Here's my BFF halfway down the beach that connects two trails. Hard to believe we were walking the same steps as Winslow Homer would often walk for inspiration and the more we thought about it, we felt like we were in one of his paintings. It's a living portrait and you will see where he gets his inspiration when you walk it.

You will continue your walk to the very end and then across the street to Ferry Beach in Scarborough looking across to Old Orchard. It's easy to see why famous people like Glenn Close, Paul Newman, Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley spent their Summer's here and why so many weddings happen at The Black Point Inn. Take a few minutes to walk this, it's sweet for the soul.

Park at The Black Point Inn, walk to the East about 100 yards. Start the trail right at the little house pictured above and continue around for one mile.

NAMASTE!
