‘Where Are Ü Now’ Wins Best Dance Recording at 2016 Grammys
Skrillex and Diplo, also known as Jack U, as well as Justin Bieber won Best Dance Recording for their song “Where Are Ü Now” at the 2016 Grammy Awards on Monday night (February 15).
The collaborative trio beat “We’re All We Need” by Above & Beyond featuring Zoë Johnston, The Chemical Brothers' “Go,” Galantis' “Runaway (U & I)” and “Never Catch Me” by Flying Lotus featuring Kendrick Lamar.
The news was announced during the Grammy Awards' pre-telecast where both Skrillex and Diplo were on hand to accept their award. After giving thanks, Diplo hopped on Twitter to send a message to all those who doubted him.
Considering "Where Are U Now" was one of the most heavily rotated songs in 2015, the win is not too much of a surprise. However, the victory marks Diplo and Justin's first-ever Grammy award. This will be Skrillex's seventh Grammy award. He won three in 2013.
