Warm Up in Heated Snow Globes After Sledding, Ice Skating on This Maine Farm
‘Tis the season for winter activities and Maine is the outdoor adventure hub for all things snow. We’re the hot spot for hiking and water sports in the warmer months and we have the terrain for skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, and more all winter long.
There are reasons our state is filled with outdoor enthusiasts all year round.
Outdoor Activites in Maine
To make things easy, there’s a Maine farm that offers almost all options for winter activities. Pineland Farms in New Gloucester has beautiful trails perfect for all seasons but even more so in the winter.
At Pineland Farms, you can go skiing, snowshoeing, fat-tire biking, ice skating, and sledding all in one place.
To make it even more enticing, they now have heated snow globe rentals to warm up after a day filled with your favorite winter activities.
Snow Globes at Pineland Farms
Opening this Saturday, Dec. 3, snow globe rentals will be available for reservation between 10 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. at Pineland Farms. There are four options for heated globes:
- Seats 8 with a large table
- Seats 6 with a large table
- Seats 4 with two rocking chairs and four Adirondack chairs with a large table
- Seats 4 with a wicker couch, two chairs, and a table
The heated snow globes are only $25 per hour, which is a killer deal to me.
We all know the feeling of spending the afternoon ice skating or sledding and the winter chill is biting you, your fingers feel numb with cold, and you just need a minute to thaw out before you continue your day having fun outside.
This is the ultimate way to spend a snowy day in the winter with all your needs met. You can pack your own picnic or order food to go from the market on-site.
Pineland Farms Winter Activities
You have plenty of options for an active day at Pineland Farms, including skiing trails for cross-country skiing, ski rentals, day and season passes, lessons, snowshoeing, fat-tire biking, ice skating, and sledding. They have rentals for the sports and for sledding, you can BYOS or rent one from there.
If you’re looking to spend a lovely winter day outside in Maine but want the option to thaw out and warm up in a heated slow globe, this is the way to go.
