People Waited Hours in Line for a Viral Fruit Cup in Sabattus, Maine

People waited a long time to get their hands on the Dubai Fruit Cup at Marvelous Macarons in Sabattus, Maine.

What could get someone to bring a chair and camp out for the opening of a bakery? A viral TikTok. The Sun Journal spoke to the owner of Marvelous Macarons in Sabattus in the Mixers Plaza about the insane upswing in business.

One viral TikTok turned Sabattaus, Maine, baker into THE thing to try

Jenna Roberts, who owns and bakes at Marvelous Macarons told the Sun Journal how life went from doable to nuts,

I was a one-woman show — perfectly capable — and then it was like I needed a staff of 20, trained and ready to go to keep up. The first day I would say there was well over 100. I had significantly underestimated what was going to happen that day … we ran out by like 12:30.

 

All it took was one TikTok viewed by about 8 million people.

The Dubai Chocolate Fruit Cup got a 9 out of 10 and then people had to have it!

Marvelous Macarons is only open on Fridays and Saturdays, but Jenna works every day just for those two days. It's turned into a family affair as she has had to get help from her mother and sister. Some people waited two hours to get their hands on the Dubai Fruit Cup. Worth it?

Yup. Jenna told the Sun Journal that people seem very happy. Very happy.

When you bring them their cups, they’re like dancing and they’re smiling. One girl was almost in tears, like it’s just been so nutty.
