Earlier this week, the dog was 48 hours away from being euthanized. Now there's new hope for the husky.

According to WMTW, Dakota the Husky will live to see another day in court.

In a case that has gone back and forth several times, including a pardon by Governor LePage, and then a decision earlier this week to uphold the decision to euthanize her, the dog who killed another dog last year is now waiting on an appeal from the court.

Her new owner says that Dakota is rehabilitated and no longer poses a threat to people or other dogs.
