Get ready for a fun and exciting winter event at the Topsham Fairgrounds. The 5th Annual Topsham Fair Skijoring event is a day full of speed, snow, horses, and cheering crowds. This is a one-of-a-kind event that brings winter sports and equestrian action together in a big way.

Skijoring is a race where alpine skiers and snowboarders are pulled by a galloping horse and rider. Teams race down a 1,000-foot course packed with action. Riders and athletes fly over jumps, glide across roll tops, climb banks, weave around gates, and reach out to grab rings along the way. It is fast, loud, and exciting from start to finish. The fastest team takes home the win, but every run is fun to watch.

There are divisions for everyone, including miniature horses, junior, novice, snowboard, and Pro divisions. One of the highlights of the day is seeing the adorable miniature horses racing alongside the bigger horses. It is guaranteed to make you smile.

This is more than just racing. There will be food trucks serving tasty meals, a beer garden for adults, and local vendors selling unique goods. Do not forget to stop by and grab some Skijor swag to remember the day. Bring your friends and family and cheer on your favorite teams as they race down the track.

The event takes place on Saturday, February 7, with competition starting at 10 am. Gates open for participants at 7:30 am, and all other spectators can enter starting at 8:00 am. Please use the Elm Street entrance when you arrive.

Tickets are affordable and easy to get. You can buy them online ahead of time or pay at the gate with cash only. Tickets are $5 per person or $15 for the whole family. The event is held at the Topsham Fairgrounds. Please note that no dogs are allowed at the event.
