Another chain restaurant is officially closing in Maine due to economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic. Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery took to Facebook to announce that they would officially be closing their South Portland location with no designs on reopening in the future. https://www.facebook.com/tiltedkiltportlandme/photos/a.1726069627533401/2844771422329877/?type=3&theater

Tilted Kilt joins a few other national chains in shuttering locations in Maine. Several weeks ago, Ruby Tuesday pulled the plug on several of their locations statewide. Two weeks ago, Krispy Kreme closed down their only two Maine locations in Saco and Auburn.   Tilted Kilt opened more than five years ago in their South Portland location at 200 Gorham Road. The national chain is known for the U.K. inspired pub feel and kilt-wearing wait staff.
