I mean, it's not wrong.

People are obsessed with AI. It seems like every day we find out AI can do something else only humans could. At All Star Home, they also know that people are still obsessed with housing so they combined the two. They set out to test an AI Generator to see what it thinks a typical home in all 50 states and the 30 largest cities in the U.S. looks like. This is what it thinks a Maine home looks like.

They also found the median home value in each state or city to guide AI. Maine's median home value is $419,250. This looks like a nice house for that kind of money. Curious about what AI thinks a New Hampshire home looks like?

Very similar to Maine, but New Hampshire's median home value is $529,950. This is what over $100,000 more will get you...according to AI.

These fake homes generated by AI are pretty realistic and could be in any town in Maine or New Hampshire for that matter. Here's what the guidelines were for AI.

All images in this study were generated using Midjourney. To generate images of “typical homes” across all 50 states, All Star Home used the following prompt:

a typical, beautiful house in Nevada in 2023. Photorealistic, very realistic, life-like, sunny day, as if taken with a Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L lens at 1/4 sec, f/7.1 and ISO400

They simply replaced the state. 9 of the 50 states were generated by AI with a snowy backdrop. Apparently, artificial intelligence knows that Maine and New Hampshire typically are snowy states. Geesh, even AI thinks it snows here year-round!

Check out all the 'typical' homes in all 50 states generated with AI.
