The Portsmouth Halloween Parade Is Spooky Fun For The Family
There are lots of spooky events in New Hampshire. This is one of our picks for Halloween: The 23rd Portsmouth Halloween Parade at Pierce Island by Prescott Park on Tuesday night, October 31st at 7 p.m..
According to the website, the Portsmouth Halloween Parade is a "grassroots, all-inclusive celebration of community, creativity and free expression that walks, stalks, dances, trumpets and drums its way through downtown Portsmouth. Hundreds march in costume, thousands cheer from the sidelines… It’s always a spectacle from either side of the curb."
The following video from last year claims the Portsmouth Halloween Parade is on the Travel Channel's top ten list of Halloween parades in the U.S. The talented Haunted Overload actors made the event super spooky.
NOTE: Parents should probably watch this, before making the decision to bring young children to the festivities.
If you're looking for something to do the Saturday before Halloween, how about the Spirit of Portland Halloween Bash at the Portland Exposition Building?
