Friday the 13th turned out to be a lucky day for me.

I'm not superstitious, so I've always thought of Friday the 13th as just another day… That is until last Friday the 13th.

If you've been listening to the morning show, you probably already know that I lost my necklace pendant at the airport when I was returning to Portland from Nashville. When I realized it was not on my chain anymore, I doubled back to the TSA security checkpoint to ask if anyone had found it and turned it in. The answer was no, so I left some information and got on my flight. I never thought I would see my precious jewelry again, as the airport is the worst place to lose anything. I was very depressed. The pendant means the world to me, because it belonged to my real mother, who passed away when I was very young. It is one of the only things I have left of a woman who was taken from me before I got the chance to experience what it was like to have a loving and nurturing mom.

Here's a picture of the pendant.:

Never in a million years did I think I would ever get that pendant back. I had almost given up hope. Then, on Friday, I received a phone call from the TSA telling me my pendant had been found. Amazing. I was moved to tears.
