The Annual Ogunquit Sand Castle Contest Is This Sunday

Every summer the Ogunquit Parks and Recreation holds a free sandcastle making contest. This year it happens on Sunday, Sept 2nd. (oh my God, August is over!)

Bring your shovels and pails to the beach at 9 am and get building. You only have 2 hours to create your masterpiece before the judging begins at 11.

There are 3 categories for building, Kids up to 12 years old (individual or team), families and kids up to 18 years old, and adults 18 and older.

There will be a designated area on the beach for sandcastle builders, but make sure you register at the parks and recreation committee tent.
