According to WGME, Sunday River is offering some pretty lovely wedding packages to folks looking to get married this summer.

The wedding industry took a huge hit this year because of COVID-19, and all over the world hearts are breaking because the weddings that took so much time to plan had to be postponed. Tickets were cancelled, some deposits were returned and tears were shed. Sunday River is coming to the rescue of couples that need the full wedding experience by offering four packages that include food and beverages at their gorgeous venues.

The resort usually holds much bigger weddings and books about fifty a year. Because of CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, these celebrations will be intimate affairs of 50 people or less. Social distancing will be comfortable with the resort's beautiful outdoor space and indoor restaurant space as well.

I think Sunday River is kind of a perfect Maine wedding venue and when I checked out the packages and pictures on their website I was a little bit blown away. Seriously, if you are in love and your wedding fell through and the thought of waiting until who-knows-when to marry your person is almost unbearable, then pivot. Get crazy and head to the fresh air of the mountains to say, "do", or, "I will", or "You betcha', or "Hell, yeah!".

The wedding packages at Sunday River start at $65 per person and go up to $95. The available venues are: Jordan Terrace, Sliders Restaurant and Peak Lodges. Check out Sundayriverweddings.com for more information and to check out the venues and packages.
