94 9 HOM is proud to be a part of what has become an annual Portland and Maine tradition. The weather looks fantastic for Saturday, July 4th. So, no excuses. This is an event not to be missed.   Robert Moody and the Portland Symphony Orchestra will be back for another amazing performance. Activities will be taking place all afternoon long, including the Scoops for Vets Ice Cream Festival starting at 3pm. Opening ceremonies will begin around 7pm with fireworks taking place around approximately 9:20pm. The PSO will be joined by Grammy winner Melissa Manchester. The event itself is FREE. Bring a chair and grab a great spot on the hill and enjoy the beautiful view over Casco Bay.

If you can't make it there, tune into 94 9 HOM and listen to all go down live beginning at 7:30pm.

Congrats to Hannah Couture and Teal Kim who were winners of an HOM contest to perform the National Anthem prior to the PSO performance. What a huge honor.

Thanks to its founding partners, The Portland Press Herald, Quirk Chevrolet, WEX and the Maine Red Claws. The event is produced by the July 4th Portland Foundation
