St. Joe’s Breaks Apple Pie Baking World Record!

St. Joseph's Collegein Standish, Maine has broken a most delicious world record! Volunteers created 1,548 apple pies. To add to the sweetness of the record breaking feat, local food pantries and charities will receive hundreds of pies just in time for Thanksgiving.

According to WMTW Ch. 8, "bakers needed 300 pounds of sugar, 35 cases of butter and 10,000 apples. The current record is a line of 1,477 pies, recorded on May 26, 2013, in Germany."  Well done St. Joe's!
