These Boozy Floats at A&C Soda Shop Are What Maine Summer Dreams Are Made Of

Real question, when was the last time you enjoyed a proper ice cream float? The real, fizzy, creamy deal? It’s been a minute for me, for sure, so let’s make our way to A&C Soda Shop in South Portland because the floats are back baby.

Nostalgic to say the least, the retro-floats are being served up with all the sweetness you remember. The star on the menu currently, is there Rum & Coke float.

Okay, sign me up. It’s a grown twist on a classic. Picture it: smooth vanilla ice cream, floating in soda and yes you can get it without the rum.

But the rum, for us adult, will make it even more dreamy, especially after a long hot Maine week.  

My personal fave is the OMG. Yes, that’s what it’s called because when you have it, that’s all you can say. It’s orange soda, with a scoop of chocolate ice cream. Check out their full menu here!
