Solution to Portland Bag Fees
The city of Portland has passed a new ordinance that charges shoppers 5 cents for every bag, plastic or paper, that they need to carry their purchases. I have an easy solution to avoid the new fees.
Most of us have bags of reusable bags for the grocery store. They tend to be big and bulky. They can be difficult to slip neatly into a pocket book.
I've found this nifty light weight bag that rolls up. I just put it in a side pocket of my hand bag and I'm ready to buy anytime and anywhere. Envirosax makes this particular bag. I'm sure there will be others coming out with light weight roll-up bags before the ordinance kicks in on April 15, 2015.
