Looks like there may be big news for traveling burger lovers. The epic Shake Shack may finally make its debut in the state of Maine.

Yum, the crinkle cut fries are calling my name as we speak and we could all be diving in at a Maine Turnpike service plaza near you.

Here’s what's being said, according to Portland Press Herald, the Maine Turnpike Authority is upgrading their service plazas.

Shake Shack on the Maine Turnpike? Here’s What We Know So Far

That’s going to feature new bathrooms, convenience stores, play areas and yes, all the food.

The executive director, Andre Briere reopened the Turnpikes contract with Augusta.

Shake Shack may finally be making its Maine debut in 2025!

So it looks like we are on track to get our first Shake Shack due to the renegotiations to the service plaza contract. This will happen at five key rest stops along the toll highways from Kittery to Augusta.

Briere says, according to the report,

“I want kids in the back seat screaming that they want to stop, I want our service plazas to be destination options for all travelers.”

Not to mention, they also want to add a Chick-Fil-A to the menu! We do currently have Chick-fil-A in Westbrook, Bangor, and soon Auburn.

As of right now, Maine doesn’t have a Shake Shack so this would be huge for us.
