Ok, I have to say I did a double take when I saw this video.  There is a headless horseman who is riding his bike through the streets of Concord, Ma playing his guitar!

Check out the video:

According to the Boston Globe, 38 year old Matthew Dunkle is the mystery man. He tells the Globe that he started doing this about five years ago because he thought it was cool and would get people's attention:

Dunkle told the Globe:

“It just feels like we are kind of in the dark right now. We are all just running around with our heads cut off.”

I love that someone is having a little bit of fun right now, although I can't imagine how freaked out I'd be if i was driving through Concord and just happened to look over and see someone without their head!

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is one of my favorite childhood stories, probably because it included a horse and you know that's one of my loves!

According to History.com, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow has been around for centuries. Washington Irving's tale came out in 1820 and was inspired by his mentor Sir Walter Scott who had written some significant works including a poem called "The Wild Huntsman".

The New York Historical Society disagrees though, saying that it was most likely inspired by real Hessian soldier"  who was decapitated by a cannonball during the Battle of White Plains, around Halloween 1776.”

That's the story I've always heard, and it seems much more dramatic so I'm going with that one.  So, if you're anywhere near Concord, Ma..just giving you a heads up, you may see a headless horseman riding toward you!
