See Pics: Portland Police Officer Saves a Duckling from a Sewer
This is one lucky duckling!
If it had not been for Process Server Kelly Watters, the poor little guy probably would not have survived, according to the Portland Police Department's Facebook page. She rescued the duckling from a sewer near 332 St. John Street in Portland, Maine last week on May 15th.
The Portland Police said the mother duck and her other ducklings were spooked off, so they couldn't be reunited. The baby bird will be sent to a wildlife rehab facility.
