Any time I walk into Reny’s, I always have to tell myself I only need one thing.

But, then I grab a cart “just in case” and somehow always end up filling it. So, if you are anything like me and live in Augusta, I have some great news.. Reny’s is coming your way! 

According to MaineBiz, this iconic Maine store is officially moving into the former Big Lots on Western Avenue.

With over 32,000 square feet of space, there’s plenty of room for deals, surprises, and all the things you didn’t plan to buy, but absolutely do anyways.

Reny’s Set to Open in Augusta’s Former Big Lots This Fall

They are planning to open as soon as September or October and Central Mainers are stoked.

Renys is a hot spot discount retailer and they are going to be joining Shaw’s Plaza at 152 Western Avenue. Parked alongside Planet Fitness, Dollar Tree and more.  

It almost feels like this just happened because it did! Right next door in Waterville, a few months ago Renys popped up and now they are jumping in on the Augusta location!  

As per the article, company owner John Reny said, 

“We’ve wanted to be in Augusta for a long time,”  

This is going to be so great for the community as well because they are expected to hire 30 to 40 new jobs!

Augusta’s economic development directors Keith Luke, said “This is one of the busiest streets in the state, it’s good news all around.” 

Renys is one of the most iconic Maine stores and with there mix of deals and charm, this is going to be the perfect fit for Augusta.
