Inspiring! Auburn Teen Gives Back After Horrific Accident

It's not every day that you see a 14-year-old child give back to those in said child community, but 14-year-old Connor Turcotte is not your average child.

According to the Lewiston Sun Journal, Connor was involved in a horrific four-wheeler crash this past spring. The crash caused extensive injuries causing Connor to spend several weeks in the hospital in the Intensive Care Unit.

When Connor was in the hospital, the local community came together to offer any support for the family that they could, whether it be running errands or cooking dinner. The community's kindness affected Connor in such an amazing way that he wanted to find a way to give back to the community.

Connor, heading into his sophomore year at Edward Little High School, is one of the kindest 14-year-olds in Maine. Connor loves playing gold and reading, so when deciding to give back, it didn't take Connor long to decide he wanted to collect children's books and give them to children.

He's leading the book drive with his mom Sara Holt, and so far together, they have raised 130 books, intending to collect 500 books.
