PT’s Showclub in Portland, Maine Stripped of Its Name
For more than three decades now, there's been an adult entertainment club right off of the Maine Turnpike in Portland, Maine that has gone by several different names. When it was introduced in 1991, it was known as Mark's Showplace, named after its founder Mark Deane. Eventually it became Platinum Plus, with a few renovations and unique ideas to drive business as interest in Mark's Showplace had waned. Platinum Plus then became PT's Showclub, which has been the name of the establishment for years. Until now.
According to the PT's Showclub Facebook page, the adult club is now known as Rick's Cabaret Portland. If that name sounds familiar to you, you're likely a fan of the Howard Stern radio program, where Rick's Cabaret has been mentioned often. Like some previous owners, Rick's Cabaret is a chain of adult clubs that also operates in cities like Chicago, Dallas, Pittsburgh, and San Antonio.
As for what changes visitors can expect to the new Rick's Cabaret, nothing was stated on the social media channels for the establishment. When ownership changes of the club have happened in the past, there have been incremental changes to alter the experience for guests. Google currently lists Rick's Cabaret as open from 12pm until 3am Monday through Saturday. Sunday hours are 4pm until 3am.
