Portland PD Warns of Suspicious Man Inviting Women Into His Car
Portland PD released a statement yesterday regarding multiple reports from women in Portland of encounters with an individual who is presumed to be the same man.
The first incident occurred on October 25th after 7 pm. The man reportedly approached a woman near Thomas Street and assaulted her after she refused his offer for a ride. There were witness reports that the man attempted to pull her into his vehicle.
Later that same night, another similar incident was reported by a woman walking on Brackett Street. The man, believed to be the same one from the Thomas Street incident, attempted to engage her in conversation but the woman was able to walk away unharmed.
The most recent incident was this week, Monday, December 7th. This encounter occurred on Congress street and the male pulled to the side of the road, approached her, and attempted to engage her in conversation while she walked her dog. She was able to walk away and she reported seeing his vehicle again near Pine and Brackett Street.
According to the Portland PD statement,
The man is described as a black male with close cropped hair or possibly bald and he speaks with an accent. He was driving a dark colored Toyota sedan with tinted windows bearing a Texas registration plate.
