Portland, Maine’s Parks and Recreation Department is diving into summer a little early this year. Splash pads are officially opening for the season starting Friday, May 23rd, just in time for Memorial Day weekend!

Despite the 50-degree temperatures and rainy skies in the forecast, the splash pads at Deering Oaks Ravine, Peppermint Park, Payson Park, and Stone Street Playground will be up and running for the brave-hearted and heat-dreamers among us.
