Portland, Maine’s Greek Festival is About To Take Over Your Taste Buds & Hips
My babes, grab your stretchiest pants and proud heritage because one of Portland’s most delicious traditions if coming back.
It’s the 42nd annual Portland Greek Food Festival is returning, and honestly, this is one of those summer events that feels like a full vacation without ever leaving Maine.
From June 25th through June 27th, the big white tent at Holy Trinity Greek Church will transform into a celebration of Greek culture, music, dancing, and of course… food.
And let's talk about the food, because this is where things get serious.
Why Portland’s Greek Festival Is a Summer Tradition
I am talking homemade Greek favorites, pastries that are impossible to walk past and people who feel like family.
I remember growing up, most of my favorite memories were in the kitchen, surrounded by the smells of spanakopita, pastitsio, baklava, and my Yiayia's cooking.
I can still see my Yiayia and my mom laughing, dancing, telling stories, and pouring so much love into every single meal they made for all of us.
That's what Greek culture is all about, family, connection, passion, and bringing people together. Being Greek isn't just part of my background; it's helped shape who I am today.
And guys, those traditions and values stay with you forever and truly live in your soul.
That's exactly why this festival is more than eating (although eating is definitely a major part of the experience).
Come to enjoy live music, traditional dancing, and the energy of a community coming together to share its culture.
The event runs Thursday and Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Pleasant Street in Portland.

What makes festivals like this so great is that they remind you what summer in Maine is really about: gathering with people, trying something new, and leaving with a full stomach and a good story.
So whether you’re Greek, Greek-at-heart, or just someone who appreciates a good pastry, this is your sign to go.
