Peach Recall Expanded To Include Many Stores In New England
You may have heard there's a nationwide recall for peaches. Now, the recall is affecting even more stores, according to MSN News. The potentially tainted fruit was reportedly sold at Walmart, Sam's Club, Target, ALDI, and Wegmans in Massachusetts.
The peaches may be the cause of a salmonella outbreak that has put 14 people from nine different states in the hospital, so far, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention via MSN. The CDC also reported that at least 68 people have become ill. The CDC is still investigating, so it is possible that other stores may have sold the contaminated fruit as well.
If you purchased peaches from any of the above stores, do not eat them. Throw the fruit out or take them back to the store for a refund. If you suspect you are ill from eating contaminated fruit, you may want to consult with a doctor.
