This is the announcement we've been waiting for. Aquaboggan Waterpark in Saco, Maine will officially open for the summer on Wednesday, July 1st, according to its Facebook page. Parents and their kids have been waiting impatiently for the park's doors to open, so when Aquaboggan posted the decision on social media, the questions and concerns came pouring in. Obviously, COVID-19 is top of mind for most people. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, new safety protocol will be in place: The waterpark is requesting that masks be worn everywhere except in the water, as the CDC "recommends against the use of masks" in water. The park is also asking that everyone maintain proper social distance. Guests who do not follow the rules will be asked to leave. You can brush up on other measures on Aquaboggan's website and Facebook page.

Aquaboggan also suggests that you purchase passes online before you go in order to limit contact with other people.

Aquaboggan is Maine's original water park located near Old Orchard Beach in Saco. This summer, the park is celebrating 42 years of being in business. The water park has something for kids of all ages -- high speed water slides, mini golf, etc.
