There’s an Update on Ogunquit Maine’s Famous Giant Roosters
Okay, friends… remember the giant tin roosters in Ogunquit that somehow became a full-blown Maine saga? Well… we have an update.
And there’s another fine.
If you missed my first story, David and Sara LeBlanc, owners of The Omelette Factory, have been fighting to keep the six-foot-tall metal roosters outside their home and restaurant.
Ogunquit Issues Another Fine Over Giant Roosters
We were lucky enough to speak with David on the phone and he shared how the roosters are deeply meaningful to their adopted daughter, Pyper, and have become a comfort for her.
What started as a family story quickly turned into a zoning dispute and then somehow became a statewide rooster movement.
Well, it's not over.
According to the latest report from Seacoast, Ogunquit has issued the LeBlancs another $750 fine and ordered them to remove the signage in question within 48 hours.
The town maintains the roosters constitute prohibited signage connected to The Omelette Factory.
Because these aren't just random yard decorations to this family.
Pyper has a strong connection to the roosters, and what started with one little tin bird eventually grew into a collection of more than 20. The community has even rallied around the family, with other people putting up their own roosters in support.

The LeBlancs are now facing another $750 fine, and the rooster saga continues.
I genuinely want to know what you think:
Are we still talking about lawn decorations… or has this become something much bigger?
Because at this point, Maine has chosen its bird.
