New Hampshire Moves Closer To Legalizing Marijuana
(Concord, NH) - The New Hampshire Senate Judiciary Committee has given its approval to a bill that would decriminalize marijuana possession.
The 3-2 vote sent the measure on to the full State Senate on May 11. This is the first time a Senate committee has approved such a measure.
The bill has already passed in the House, and Governor Chris Sununu is expected to sign the bill if it becomes law.
New Hampshire would become the final state in New England to legalize possession of small amounts of marijuana.
