With a number of restaurants in Maine having to close due to the effects of COVID-19, it's nice to see a new one opening up in Windham.

A newly created Facebook page for the Stockhouse Restaurant & Sandbar Pub posted last week that they will be opening in the fall at the former location of Buck's Naked BBQ and Steakhouse in the Shops at Sebago Plaza. Buck's unfortunately ended up having to close in June after 10 years as business had dropped significantly from COVID-19 state restrictions, according to CBS 13.

The Stockhouse Restaurant & Pub in Westbrook will remain open with the second restaurant bringing "some new Windham flavor."

This is the second new restaurant in Windham to open in the past few months. Portland Pie Co. opened a Windham location in the former Friendly's location at the Windham Mall, and the reception has been overwhelming.

No concrete date is set for the opening of the Windham Stockhouse Restaurant & Sandbar Pub, but keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates.
