Progress Made at New Outdoor Adventure Park Coming to Richmond, Maine
You're gonna want to find Richmond on a map.
I don't know what's better, the fact that there is an adventure park coming to Richmond or the why and how. It's all from the brain of Jeremy Purington of Purington Construction. He wanted to bring something exciting to the place he calls home - Richmond, Maine. He loves living in Richmond with his wife and two boys, but when they want to do something, well...they have to leave. That's when Moose Mountain was born.
This is the beginning of a new outdoor adventure park just off exit 43 in Richmond. First, in the Spring of 2023 is Moose Mountain Minature Golf!
It's literally being built into the side of a mountain on a ledge. The theme is Maine. There will be a tree house, campfire, walk under waterfall, and even a beaver dam. It will be complete with a clubhouse for ice cream (you can't play mini golf without ice cream) and an event room for birthdays! He's working with a New Yorker who travels all over the country helping to design mini golf courses. Even Jeremy's two boys (10 and 12 years old) are helping.
In fact, it's a family affair. Jeremy's wife will help run the place. This is the first adventure in the adventure park. Once the mini golf is up and running, next will come a ropes course and climbing walls. They are doing concrete sculpting and painting working with a super-talented local artisan. He asks,
Can you tell which is actual ledge and which is painted concrete?
Nope. I can't. They are really spending some time and effort in making this amazing.
Jeremy's inspiration for the adventure park and mini golf course was where his business, Purington Construction, is...Richmond. He wanted to give back to the community that he loves and that has loved him back. But I also think he loves building this adventure park. No one has ever been this excited to see 1200 square yards of putting green carpet and 130 gallons of glue!
I've never been this excited to head to Richmond, Maine!
