Massachusetts native and WWE superstar wrestler John Cena becomes a superhero in "Peacemaker," according to Mass Live. Cena was born in West Newbury, and graduated from Springfield College, where he studied exercise physiology, as per his biography. Director James Gunn tweeted he is "over-the-moon excited" about working with Cena (below). Cena replied by saying he "cannot wait for the DC Universe to experience more of the absurdity that is the ‘Peacemaker’ in this new project."

"Peacemaker" will be a limited series on HBO Max. Cena's role is supposedly based on the character he plays in next year's sure-to-be blockbuster movie "Suicide Squad." It's an 8-episode series that is said to start filming early next year. Meanwhile, the movie hits your local theater on August 6th, 2021.
