Morgan Patten was killed in an accident and too many questions remain.

It was November 8th, 2019 that Morgan was killed in a fatal accident with two off-duty Marines in a truck in North Carolina. She was in North Carolina to see her fiance. The driver of the truck has been indicted on felony death by motor vehicle and involuntary manslaughter charges, but the other male passenger-nothing. Neither will talk about how or why Morgan was in the truck, where they were going, or what they were doing. Morgan did not know these two men.

Her parents Steven and Renee have been working to find those answers for almost two years. It has been an exhausting, frustrating and maddening quest.

The Hooligan Riders will be holding a motorcycle ride to raise money for Morgan's family to continue their fight to find answers. Morgan lived her life by one line: miles to go.

It comes from one of her favorite poems, 'Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening'
by Robert Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Her mom and dad have taken up her dream and mantra and so have the Hooligans! Please help this family honor Morgan's memory and find answers!

The ride is August 7 with kickstands up at Stars and Stripes Brewing Company in Freeport. The Hooligans help families throughout Maine with bike rides like this. They are fun, uniting and very, very helpful.
