Maine State Police Kick Off The 2021 Pink Patch Initiative
As we know October being Breast Cancer awareness month and the Maine State Police have also started their effort to join the fight against the breast cancer with the 2021 Pink Patch Initiative according to a report by WABI.
A State Police spokesman said:
“For the month of October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this year we’ve commissioned two limited edition cruisers with pink graphics that we hope will serve as a reminder of the importance of this month and the impact of breast cancer and other types of cancers on many families,”
If you'd like to get involved the Maine State troopers Association have pink patches for sale that support the initiative. You can buy buy a patch for $10 . You can pick up a patch at every field troop office and also at the Maine State Troopers Foundation website, or by mail You can order them through the Maine State Trooper Foundation for $10. You may also notice two State Police cruisers that have special pink markings to help awareness.
This benefactors of this years Pink Patch Initiative awareness for breast cancer will be split between two charities, the Pink Aroostook by Cary Medical Center and Sarah’s House of Maine in Holden.
