Lily Robbins Helped Others in Their Time of Need, Now Maine Is Helping Her
There’s something truly, madly, deeply special happening along Maine’s Midcoast right now, and it’s the kind of story that gives you that feeling of how powerful Maine people are when they want to help someone.
I cam across this on the North Beacon Facebook page and must share with you.
More than a dozen local businesses and restaurants in Camden and other towns have all joined hands to help support a woman named Lily Robbins.
Lily is volunteer EMT who was seriously injured while responding to the devastating Robbins Lumber mill explosion.
You can donate to Lily's GoFund ME Here.
If you’ve spent any time in the area, chances are you’ve probably crossed paths with Lily or heard someone talk about how kind she is. Friends describe her as the type of person who would do absolutely anything for others without hesitation.
Lily had just graduated college and was excited about the future when tragedy struck.
Now, after more than a month of recovery in Boston, she’s facing the fight of her life. But if there’s one thing this community has shown, it’s that no one has to face a challenge alone.
Restaurants are creating special menu items and donating proceeds directly to Lily’s recovery fund.
According to North Beacon, restaurants and businesses across the Midcoast are joining together for Have a Sip for Lily to support Lily Robbins and her recovery.
Participating businesses include Mosaic, Lemon Bar, North Beacon Oyster, Trackside Station, Rock Harbor Pub, Winona’s, Fresh & Co, 13 Oak, North Beacon on the Green, and 16 Bay View.
From June 21–27, North Beacon Oyster is featuring special drinks sayings,
"At North Beacon Oyster, we’re proud to be participating alongside so many incredible local businesses, we will be featuring the Lily Mojito!"

Every order is helping make a difference. Business owners say the response has been overwhelming, with nearly everyone eager to participate.
As of today, the community has already raised $38,865 of the $90,000 goal for Lily Robbins, thanks to 283 donations and countless acts of kindness.
What makes this story so beautiful isn’t just the fundraising, it’s the love behind it.
