Everything You Need to Know About the Bangor State Fair 2026

It’s almost time to grab your friends, your kids, and your appetite because one of Maine’s biggest summer traditions is coming back!  

The Bangor State Fair returns July 30 through August 8, bringing 10 days of rides, fair food, live entertainment, animals, and those classic summer memories you only get once a year. 

What You Need to Know For This Year's Bangor State Fair

Held at the Cross Insurance Center and Bass Park, the Bangor State Fair is the kind of place where you can spend the day screaming on rides, wandering through exhibits, watching agricultural events, and somehow convincing yourself that fried dough counts as dinner.  

And as a special treat, they've made this year even more welcoming!

This year, adults 65 and older can get in for just $5 every day of the fair, making it one of the most affordable ways to enjoy the rides, food, entertainment, and exhibits.

Organizers say the discounted admission was added after hearing feedback from fairgoers.

This year’s fair has something for everyone, from the midway full of carnival rides and games to live music happening throughout the week.

The 2026 music lineup includes plenty of Maine talent, including BANDWiCH, Catchavibe, New Shades of Blue, HIM & HER, Midnight Breakfast, Random Ideas, Joan Kennedy, On The Rocks, Hambone, Rigometrics, Kioea Music, Dorch, Pan Fried Steele, and Chris Ross, with performances scheduled throughout the fair.

And let’s talk about the food… because honestly, that’s half the adventure!

Expect classic fair favorites along with unique treats, food trucks, and fun drinks. Think giant snacks, comfort food, and those “we only get this once a year” fair cravings.

Families will find something happening every day at the Bangor State Fair, from midway rides and carnival games to agriculture exhibits, livestock shows, pedal tractor pulls, BMX stunt shows, demolition derbies, truck and tractor pulls, and live entertainment throughout the fairgrounds.

Kids can meet farm animals, watch competitions, and enjoy classic fair fun while parents take in the music, food, and exhibits, making it an easy all-day outing for all ages.
