There's a short list of simplicities that make my heart swell with happiness, and one of them is camping.

I've traveled all over New England to check out tiny house resorts, unique glamping destinations, and remote campsites tucked away in the woods. Whether I'm sleeping in a tent or a cozy cabin, there's just something special about disconnecting and spending time in nature.

So you can imagine my excitement when I discovered a new glamping retreat nestled in one of my favorite parts of New Hampshire!

Under Canvas White Mountains officially opened this month on 86 acres with incredible views of Mount Washington and the Presidential Range. The property is designed to give guests an outdoor experience while still enjoying some comforts that traditional camping doesn't always offer.

The accommodations are safari-style tents featuring king-size beds (yes, you read that right!), private bathrooms (score!), wood-burning stoves, and outdoor decks.

One of the coolest options is the Stargazer Tent, which includes a viewing window above the bed so guests can fall asleep beneath New Hampshire's night sky. How dreamy is that?

And unlike many camping trips where you're packing coolers and planning every meal ahead of time, Under Canvas also offers on-site dining. Fancy!

Guests can enjoy breakfast and dinner with views of the Presidential Range, featuring seasonal dishes inspired by local ingredients, plus specialty cocktails, local ciders, craft beer, and wine.

The location puts visitors close to some of the White Mountains' most popular attractions as well, including Franconia Notch, Artist Bluff, Flume Gorge, the Kancamagus Highway, and countless hiking trails throughout the White Mountain National Forest.

As someone who considers herself a camping fanatic, I appreciate experiences (like this) that encourage people to get outside and explore everything New Hampshire has to offer. Not everyone wants to sleep on the ground, and glamping can be a great introduction to the outdoors for families or travelers looking for a little extra comfort and safety.

Between the mountain views, campfires, hiking opportunities, and those Stargazer tents, this is one White Mountains getaway that's now at the top of my "Must-Visit" list.
