When I think back to my high school days I have (mostly) fond memories, excluding the core memory of me falling down the stairs in my miniskirt from Weathervane in front of my crush in between classes. For my family, it wasn't really a question if I would attend public school versus private school. Both of my parents were public school teachers in my town, so it went without saying that my brother and I would receive public school educations.

I attended Leominster High School from 2002-2006 in Leominster, Massachusetts. It was a time filled with low-rise jeans, crunchy hair from too much hair gel, burned mix CD's, overpriced t-shirts that said "Bebe" in rhinestones, and stupid little Coach purses that could barely fit your Vanilla Cupcake Lip Smacker lip gloss. Cell phones were rare among my peers. If they existed, they were used only for emergency texts using T9 word. Some of my friends had to share a cell phone with their siblings. That was a disaster. 'Twas a simpler time.

Here's my bestie Linda and I taking a mirror selfie with a disposable camera like the OGs that we are.
