Spiffy New Dover, New Hampshire, Wing Spot is Close to Opening
My husband and I consider ourselves wing enthusiasts. Anyone who attended our wedding could tell you our vows were heavily wing-centric. He promised me he would always save me the flats because he knows they are my favorite. We have a theory that to make a marriage work, one partner needs to prefer the flats and the other must prefer the drums. That way, you are never fighting over wing shape, and will thus have a long and happy marriage. Because what else is there to fight about, right?
I remember when I first moved to New Hampshire, I had a little apartment in downtown Dover right across the street from Wing-Itz. When I found out they had peanut butter and jelly-flavored wings, I knew it was going to be my jam. So brave! So innovative! That's the approach to wings we need to see in this world.
Thankfully, I moved to Hampton, where there is another Wing-Itz location (a third one is in Newmarket). Their Dover location has been undergoing a relocation and facelift for the past few months.
Their brand-spankin'-new location in Dover is almost ready to open their doors. The new location will be on 256 Central Ave, formerly the home to China Yan Chinese restaurant.
The décor incorporates historic and authentic pieces of Dover nostalgia! They found this particular sign while renovating the space. It’s from between 1930-1940.
The new space boasts tons of natural light and exposed brick.
Needless to say, the community is pumped about this new and improved addition to downtown Dover. Keep an eye on Wing Itz Dover NH on Facebook for the official opening date.
