Discover 20 of New Hampshire’s Most Iconic Restaurants
It's no secret that we have a loud and proud foodie population here in New England, and with good reason. Our restaurant industry is killing it, and there's never a shortage of new establishments opening their doors to the public. You can never run out of places to visit for your next dining experience, especially in our neck of the woods.
New Hampshire in particular has thousands of restaurants of all shapes and sizes. It's impossible to visit them all in one lifetime, unless your world revolves around being a total foodie. That's why if you're investing the time and money in going out to eat, you'll want to visit a place with a unique atmosphere, amazing eats, and reasonable prices.
That's where the Granite State's most "iconic" restaurants come in.
But what makes an establishment iconic? According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the word 'iconic' is used to describe something that's widely-recognized and well-established, "especially for distinctive excellence".
In this writer's mind, New Hampshire's most iconic restaurants would be places that tourists would automatically want to visit upon entering our beautiful state. The spots with reputations preceding themselves. The one-of-a-kind locations offering dining experiences you can't replicate anywhere else.
With that in mind, we put out the call to our Facebook audience and asked for recommendations on New Hampshire's most iconic restaurants. Sure enough, tons of responses came flooding in from locals, all eager to show the love to their favorite establishments. Let's have a look.
