It's that point of the winter where I am running out of indoor activities to keep myself occupied. However, there is still a decent chunk of winter left to endure. Can you tell I am a cold weather enthusiast?

Of course I love going out to eat, but my soul is yearning to learn a new skill and try something I have never done before. I consulted my trusty friend, the Internet, and stumbled upon this precious candle bar and boutique called Sea Love in Portsmouth.

That is something I've never done – make my own candle! Imagine giving someone a candle as a gift and being able to say "I made it myself!" My friends would be shocked and wonder if I have gone full pioneer and churn my own butter as well. Perhaps that will be next on my list.

But back to Sea Love! They have seven locations across the country (two in Kennebunkport and Freeport, Maine) and offer candle making classes or "custom scent blending experiences," as they so eloquently put it. They allow you to create your own candle or reed diffuser from your choice of over 100 different fragrance oils.

It's the perfect indoor activity for your next girls night out, bridal shower, bachelorette party, date, mother-daughter day, or solo adventure.
